Dispatcher Phoenix HL7 Bundle

Dispatcher Phoenix HL7 Connector

HL7 (Health Level Seven), is a standard for packaging healthcare data for registration, clinical orders, results and observations, queries, patient care planning, and much more. It is a key component of health facilities technology, bridging the gap between your system and EMR/EHR using a standard messaging protocol. With HL7, healthcare providers can use their existing systems without major reinvestment required in new technologies, which lowers costs and extends the life and efficiencies of their current systems. It also improves workflow by allowing medical professionals to focus on core business activities instead of having to write specs from scratch to send data between two systems.

Using Dispatcher Phoenix, a registration staff member can securely scan patient information, such as HIPAA Consent forms, surgical consent forms, referrals, medical histories, registration summaries, face sheet data, etc. from a Konica Minolta MFP and easily attach that information to the patient record in an EHR. The data will then be transferred to the EHR in the standard HL7 format. With Dispatcher Phoenix's intuitive interface at the MFP, staff can easily input additional information, such as patient name and medical record number, choose the appropriate document type, connect to another system to lookup patient information, etc.

Benefits:

  • Clinical staff can scan information to add to a patient record easily, collecting useful information quickly.
  • Information is securely exchanged with EHRs and other health record databases.

Dispatcher Phoenix CDA Generator

CDA (Clinical Document Architecture) is an XML-based standard for encoding healthcare documents for easy data exchange through a medical system, such as an Electronic Health Record (EHR). CDA allows healthcare professionals to communicate valuable patient information to other healthcare organizations, including patients' medical history, such as allergies, medications, insurance information, or lab results.

With Dispatcher Phoenix's CDA Generator, healthcare professionals can automatically process medical documents and patient data into standard HL7 CDA documents, allowing the documents to be communicated between major medical providers and systems. A medical user can exchange the necessary patient information by easily scanning the documents at a Konica Minolta MFP. With an MFP Index Form, staff can adjust patient settings, such as the patient's name, address, and gender, right at the MFP. They can also include a custom message that will be sent with the CDA document. Once the document is converted to CDA format, it is ready to be sent through any medical system, such as an EHR.

Benefits:

  • Streamlines clinical workflows by enabling healthcare organizations to comply with the most up-to-date standards for encoding, structuring and exchanging clinical documents.
  • Allows healthcare organizations to ensure the best patient care by providing a communication exchange and enabling medical professionals to stay up-to-date with their patients' medical information.
